Welcome to C-RECS.org
It is with regret that Focus On Recovery, United, Inc., will no longer be able to take brand new participants into our C-RECS Program after Friday, August 13, 2010. The C-RECS grant funding, which was for a specific 3-year period ending September 30, 2010, will come to an end. C-RECS has been a great success, and we have far surpassed any expectations and deliverables that were given to us. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the funding will no longer be continued to keep the program up and running fully.
More information will be forthcoming (specifically regarding what C-RECS services we will be able to offer and/or continue past September 30, 2010), so check in on this site for updates or feel free to call us at the FOR-U office at 860.704.0556.
We want to thank everyone who played a role in the success of this wonderful and groundbreaking program.
This site is in support of the Connecticut Recovery Employment Consultation Service (C-RECS). It is designed to facilitate persons in recovery (PIR) in finding meaningful employment with behavioral healthcare organizations in Connecticut.
The mission of C-RECS is to increase the number of PIR in the behavioral health workforce allowing persons with lived experience of mental health illness and / or addiction issues to be gainfully employed. This, in turn, changes the system from the inside out.
Who do we serve ?
- Are you a person with, or in recovery from, psychiatric disablities or co-occurring disorders?
- Is it your passion to work with people in the behavioral health and / or the substance abuse fields?
- Are you looking for assistance to jump start or continue your career in the behavioral health workforce?
If the answer is "yes" to any of the above, then C-RECS may fit your needs.
We encourage you to register on both here and on our C-RECS Job Board. Your registration will allow you to work one-on-one with a C-RECS Employment Coach, while on our Job Board will allow you to:
